Build

Let's build.

With knowledge comes power. With wellbeing knowledge comes great power. The great power of self-improvement, of being happier, of being healthier, of being more productive, of being more connected, and more intentional, or more purposeful.

We want to build on these foundations that we're putting in place. We're being mindful. We're being in the moment. We're breathing. We're reflecting on how we're doing. We're exercising. We're thinking about our nutrition. We're being purposeful. We're being connected.

Let’s start bringing all of these together and understand that these drivers of form are interlinked. They all support each other. This is what we call building blocks of resilience.

  • Resilience is not about is strength, pulling the all-nighter, or working through.

  • Resilience is flexibility, adaptability, bounce-back ability, ability to deal with what life is throwing at you.

How do we build resilience? By interlinking these drivers of form, to give us the foundation, the energy, the reserves, to handle what life is truly throwing at you.

Your task is to think

  • Have you pulled these drivers of form together?

  • Think of the links between them.

  • Reflect on your week:

    • What were the mindful moments?

    • What was the prioritization of exercise?

    • What were the intentional breaks?

    • How did I get better sleep?

    • What was my nutrition like?

  • Look at how these drivers of form might have interacted for you.

Don't beat yourself up. This not about saying what has gone wrong. It's about thinking about what can go slightly better.

And then take that step to build a better foundation of wellbeing. Resilience is having a bigger battery that is full more of the time and it’s topped up regularly.
