In the new version of the FormScore App we are now starting to get some insights into what is driving our form. As an increasing number of Formsters (users of form) start tagging the effect of the drivers of Form, we can start to build up a picture of what is going on.

The energy of people is the thing most selected when logging a change in FormScore, followed by sleep, work, and connections.

Below, we share the influencers which have the biggest overall impact on our form. We are currently tracking: sleep, exercise, nutrition, connections, stress management, nutrition, health, weather, work, finances, energy, and travel. Can you guess what is the biggest single influencer?

We am super excited about these insights when applied to a workplace or population as we can get a real-time measure of what is driving the changes in our form or mental wellbeing.

Drivers of Form with the biggest impact

Here, we look at which driver of Form has had the biggest overall impact on our Form.

It will come as no surprise to many that exercise is in the top spot for impact (+0.44 on Form), followed by stress management (-0.39), Connections (+0.31) and then nutrition (+0.29).

  • It does not surprise us that exercise is in the top spot and has such a positive impact on our scores.

  • It also makes sense that stress management is the biggest negative influencer on Form, given that a large proportion of our Formsters are based in the UK and locked down right now.

  • It’s encouraging to see that connections and nutrition are having such a positive effect too.

The results are backing up what we know here: move; connect with others; eat a nutritious diet and balance stress with moments of recovery are all the top factors on staying well.

Stress management is the biggest influencer followed by health; energy and connections.

Managing stress is crucial right now. How to do it? Here are some ideas:

  • Boundaries between home and work life

  • Micro breaks away from your desk every hour

  • Gaps between Zoom/Teams calls

  • Mindful moments throughout the day

  • Pursuit of hobbies

  • Diarising exercise

  • Use of the commute time to create a buffer between home and work.
