Drivers of Form - July 2021

Every month, we dedicate time to reflect on how the FormScore community feels, what the main drivers are, and think of ways to support you.

Here is what we observed in July: The overall average score was 6.7, which is an improvement compared to June’s average score of 6.5. The report below suggests that the average score is due to Travel, Exercise and Weather, which brought our form up. It’s also due to Stress, Finances and Work which brought our form down.

  • As the weather gets better, we spend more time outdoors, exercising, and traveling even if it’s mostly within the country. The data shows that spending more time in nature, enjoying the weather and exercising are good for our mental health.

  • The changes in the drivers of form also show an improvement in Work and Stress. Although work and stress are still in the top 3 drivers, their impact and influence was less negative in July, compared to June as well as May; meaning that they were logged at a higher score.

Drivers with the most impact on Form

Here, we look at the drivers with the biggest impact on our Form.

  • Travel, Exercise and Connections were the top 3 drivers that had a positive impact on our form.

This is a reminder that exercise and connections have the power to lift our form and and help us feel better. So next time you feel low, why not put your trainers on, spend time in nature, or reach out to a friend? Better yet, why no exercise with a friend?

  • As the world starts to open up slowly, we see that Travel has a big positive impact on our form, however, it’s worth noting it the second least selected driver. So although it has a big impact, it only impacts a very small percentage of individuals in the Form Community.

When it comes to drivers that had the most negative impact on our Form:

  • Stress management continues to have the most negative impact on our Form for the fourth consecutive month. This is followed by Finances and poor Sleep.

Average score when selecting a Driver of Form

Here we see the average score selected when a driver of form was logged:

  • Travel, Exercise and Weather (followed by Nutrition) were all logged at an average of 7.

    • It’s worth noting that although travel was logged as the highest average score, it wasn’t in the top most selected drivers.

  • The warm weather gives us reasons to exercise outdoors and spend time in nature. These drivers, combined with traveling (locally or overseas) helped improve our form.

  • Looking at the lowest average scores, Stress was logged the lowest overall, at an average of 5 (nearly 6). It’s followed by Finances and Work which were logged at an average of 6.
