Welcome to the Well of Wellness 03

Parts of the mental health continuum can be very heavy, hard and challenging, both for the person experiencing mental-ill health and the people around them. 

So how can you support someone who is struggling and at the same time protect your own wellbeing?

  • Set boundaries in place to allows you to practice self-care

  • Do the things that help you stay well. They will help you be more effective in supporting your loved ones.

  • Remember that your role is not to fix someone who is struggling. Your role is to be there and listen to them, or just be there in silence, give them gift of presence, the gift of time.
